To standardize the high-end fastener market and improve the quality of essential components for the manufacturing industry, the Standardization Administration of China recently launched the revision of two national standards: "Elastic Lock Nuts" and "Plastic Clip Fasteners." Type A spring nuts and U-shaped clips will be officially included in the technical specifications.
The new standards will clarify key indicators such as material properties, dimensional tolerances, vibration resistance, and weather resistance, and establish unified testing methods and certification systems. This move aims to prevent "bad money driving out good" and promote the industry's transition from "low-price competition" to "quality competition."
The China Machinery Industry Federation stated that fasteners, while small, are the "rice of industry," directly impacting the safety and lifespan of entire machines. Going forward, they will promote the standardization, modularization, and localization of more core components to strengthen the foundation of the manufacturing industry.
