Preventing loosening of components is crucial in safety-critical applications such as high-speed rail and subway systems. CRRC Corporation Limited recently implemented a combined "A-type spring nut + U-shaped clip" fastening solution in several projects. This solution is applied to key areas such as car connectors, electrical cabinets, and air conditioning systems, providing the dual security of "mechanical locking and wiring harness retention."
The A-type spring nut is used at mechanical joints subject to high vibration, ensuring that bolts never loosen. The U-shaped clip secures numerous signal and control cables, preventing loose contact or wear caused by vibration. Working together, these two solutions significantly improve overall vehicle stability.
"Over a 30-year service life, any loosening could have serious consequences," said a project engineer. "This combination solution has been tested under simulated extreme operating conditions and has been incorporated into the company's technical standards. It will be implemented in future rail transit projects nationwide."
